YPWW - Young Men of Valor

Young Men of Valor is a unique seminar specifically designed for young men ages 13-19 in the Church of God in Christ, who have a calling and interest in becoming leaders of their churches, communities, and understanding their roles as men of God.

MISSION STATEMENT:

To encourage growth in areas of self-discipline, self-assurance, leadership and most of all, love for God. The goal of Young Men of Valor is to ensure that each young man will have the tools to act responsibly in his family, church, schools and community.

GOALS:

  • Expose our young leaders to successful Christian men in the academic, corporate, social, and political, and religious fields.
  • Provide a forum that will enhance their self-esteem and establish a support system through open communication, knowledge, and brotherhood to enrich their personal well-being. Understand the meaning of a true relationship with God and discovering his purpose for their lives.
  • Equip young men with biblical foundation and practical methods of dealing with peer and family pressures.
  • Plant seeds that will initiate the enhancement of their leadership abilities.
  • Develop networks and utilize resources within and outside our Church of God in Christ environment, where young men of valor will be able to excel in their areas of interest.
  • Prepare our Christian Young Men of Valor to take the new millennium for Christ!

God's mandate is that we train our young people in paths of righteousness. Therefore, we the Church of God in Christ Young People Willing Workers shall rise to the occasion. The Young Women of Excellence will explore areas that will stimulate changes in their spiritual and natural lives. Each young lady will have opportunities to grow in the areas of self-discipline, self-assurance, leadership, and most of all, as a complete woman; ready to be used for the Master’s will. At the end of this experience, each young lady will have the confidence needed to take her family, church, school, community, and city to heights unknown.

MISSION STATEMENT:

To encourage young ladies between the ages of 13-21 years of age to live life to its fullest by; having good morals, budgeting principles, social graces, preparatory college skills, and the ability to make good career choices.

GOALS:

  • To teach the organizational structure of the International Youth Department and the functions of its auxiliaries.
  • To provide instructional sessions that will enrich spiritual growth and development.
  • To provide steps with Scripture references for soul-winning.
  • To teach social graces to the young women of the Church of God In Christ.
  • To equip young ladies with skills necessary for college preparation.
  • To prepare participants for the complete world of corporate America.
  • To provide tips to enrich the personal well being of each YWE, i.e. physical makeover, self-esteem classes, etc.
  • To teach appropriate conduct for various situations.
  • To increase each young woman’s level of awareness about stewardship, professionalism, and etiquette.
  • To develop a spirit of excellence about all things and at all times.
